I’m Catherine Purser, FNP-C, IBCLC
I graduated from Walden University with my MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner degree in November of 2025. I graduated Cum Laude from Brigham Young University Idaho in 2005 with my BSN (and my ADN in 2004).
I recently earned my International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant [IBCLC] credentials; before that, I was a Clinical Breastfeeding Specialist [CBS]. Breastfeeding didn’t come easily with my first baby, and that experience sparked a passion for helping other moms navigate the challenges and successes of breastfeeding their babies. Supporting families through this stage of life ultimately led me to pursue advanced lactation training. I am excited to continue expanding that support for families in our community
I have nearly 20 years of experience caring for women and families, including labor and delivery (16 years) and postpartum (3.5 years), as well as lactation support.
I enjoy pregnancy and postpartum care, breastfeeding and lactation support, and education. I like helping families feel confident and supported during the early stages of parenthood. My years as a bedside nurse have given me a deep appreciation for the strength and resilience women demonstrate, and I want to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and cared for.
On a personal note, I came to Rexburg for school, married an East Idaho native, and 21 years later we’re still here. We have four teenage boys who keep life busy and fun!
